City high school students get top marks

Chichester High School students were welcomed back to school yesterday for their long awaited A-Level results.

Although not all colleges and schools were opening for results days,  Chichester High School said it ‘was important that we marked the importance of the day and ensured we could work with our students and their families’.

The school said that this cohort of students have ‘demonstrated a level of resilience that is truly amazing’ and as a group of young people they ‘have supported each other, worked together and given our school community many years of joy and service’.

A spokesman for Chichester High School said: “Despite the changes surrounding these grades we are really proud that record numbers of our students are heading off to study at Russell Group Universities, including Kings, UCL and Warwick.

“Our Sports Academy continues to go from strength to strength with more pupils gaining Distinctions than ever before and taking up places at University to continue their passion for sport.

“A truly special year group that will go on to do amazing things.”
