Sainsbury’s has announced it will shortly be opening a new Neighbourhood Hub store in Midhurst, which will replace the existing Budgens on Bepton Road.
The new Sainsbury’s will be one of only three Neighbourhood Hub stores in the country and will be approximately three times the size of a Sainsbury’s Local, stocking a wide range of popular everyday essentials including household products, ready meals, fresh products and food to go.
The new store will offer a range of exciting new features, including an Argos collection point which will bring great choice, value and convenience to customers who will benefit from thousands of technology, home and toy products available for collection. There will also be a pizza counter and a selection of beauty products, as well as fresh juice and coffee to go.
As the new Sainsbury’s store will be replacing the existing Budgens, there will be a temporary closure of approximately 12-weeks from the beginning of September while the building is refurbished and made ready to open as a new Sainsbury’s Neighbourhood Hub in November.
Sainsbury’s will be taking on the existing staff members at Budgens and looks forward to welcoming them to the team.
The Sainsbury’s team in Midhurst will play an active role in the local community by supporting a local charity, as well as supporting Sainsbury’s nationwide community programmes and charity partners.
Patrick Dunne, Sainsbury’s property director, said: “We’re really excited to open another Neighbourhood Hub store. This new addition to our store estate will provide local customers with an excellent range of food and convenience products. We plan to open the doors to our refurbished store in November and will continue to keep the community updated on our plans.
We look forward to meeting our new Midhurst customers very soon.”
