Back to business with Q

Together with many others across the country, it was smiles all round and the warmest of welcomes when Q Hair and Beauty, Chichester’s premier salon, re-opened on Saturday, July 4.

First through the doors were some of the hundreds of Q guests who had joined the waiting list for appointments over the past 12 weeks and were eagerly awaiting the big day.

In the weeks leading up to re-opening, Team Q had been hard at work putting in place every possible measure to ensure the safety of both guests and staff.

The lovely historic townhouse on North Street has been deep cleaned from top to bottom and now that it’s all systems go again, strict hygiene measures are followed throughout the day.

What to expect? In order to ensure only a limited number of guests are in the salon at any one time, all services are by pre-booked appointment only, with no walk-ins available.

Guests are asked to bring face masks with them and wear these where possible throughout their visit, and to use hand sanitiser when they come into the salon.

All Team Q members have full PPE provisions, including visors. Stylists use their own equipment and this is cleaned between each use. The standard Q single-use policy on all gowns and towels continues, with 60-degree wash between every use.

Payment is by card wherever possible and this is taken in the chair with the stylist. “We are so happy to be open again and can’t wait to welcome more and more of our guests in the weeks ahead,” said Dawn Lawrence Grant, managing director of Q Hair and Beauty.

“The health and safety of everyone is our top priority but we are also doing everything we can to make our guests’ salon journey not only secure but as our beautiful townhouse is over 3000 sq ft, it’ll remain an enjoyable experience.”

While refreshments and magazines are not available, as a standard across the hairdressing industry for now, it’ll be the comeback hair ‘do’ you’ll be after at this award-winning salon.

Remember though, there are refill stations for water bottles and guests have free use of Q’s ultrafast wifi.
