Police are appealing for information after £50,000 worth of whisky and other spirits were stolen from a business near Chichester.
It is estimated more than 1,000 bottles – some of which were rare and of significant sentimental value – were taken from a storage container in the area.
In addition to this, approximately £3,000 worth of damage was caused to the site.
The incident occurred sometime between 12pm on Saturday, May 16, and 3.09pm the following day. We have chosen not to disclose the address for operational reasons.
Enquiries are ongoing, and police are asking anyone with any information about the incident, specifically anyone who has seen these items offered for sale, to report it online or call 101, quoting serial 798 of 17/05.
