Teachers and pupils from a college were delighted on Friday when they received a special visit.
Staff and children at the Bourne Community College met representatives of the companies who have been involved in donating furniture and equipment to the school through Lindsey Parslow, of Business2Schools.
Lindsey resources good quality second-hand furniture and equipment from companies who no longer need it and then redistributes the items to schools which are in desperate need of such equipment.
The college has been fortunate enough to receive a range of furniture, including tables, clothes racks for PE, large TV screens.
Their latest delivery consisted of more than 50 computers for the IT department.
The college were joined on Friday by David Johnson, of EFG Private Bank, and Sue and Lloyd, from Veritas Digital, who were responsible for some of the donations.
“It was a pleasure to show them around our college to see where their equipment has been distributed and to meet the students who have benefited from their generosity,” said Mrs Yvonne Watkins, headteacher.
“Linking with businesses is such a positive way forward on so many levels as it provides a range of opportunities and resources for our students.”
