A hairdresser is helping to raise valuable funds for the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity.
Q Hair and Beauty has a longstanding tradition of supporting a range of good causes.
Now its sister salon, in Donnington, is launching a special effort to give a funding boost to a charity close to the heart of the team.
Every Wednesday is training day at the salon and one of the students is Bethany Frame.
Already qualified, her ongoing training is designed to give her more experience and help build up her speed and expertise.
For all the four training days in February, guests can have a stylish cut and blow dry with Bethany for a minimum donation of £10 instead of the normal £19 cost, with all the money going to Bowel Cancer UK.
Over the month, she hopes to have lots of clients and raise an impressive total for the charity.
“Bethany is one of our upcoming home-grown talents who has real flair and we hope she will be kept busy all day and raise lots of money,” said Dawn Lawrence Grant, managing director of Q Hair and Beauty.
“Bethany has already qualified and her training days are more like a finishing school for her so guests can be sure of quality service while helping such an important charity.
“Supporting good causes has been an important part of our philosophy at Q for many years and we’re delighted Bethany’s work on the training days will play a part in funding vitally-needed research into a very distressing illness.
“Every donation will help and we know our generous guests will take this fundraiser to heart.”
