Chichester City kicked off their preparations for their first ever season in step 4 with a visit to a classic summer holiday destination.
But it was no vacation for Chi who put in the hard yards under a baking sun to get their pre-season preparations under winning ways against an Isle of Wight XI with goals from Callum Overton and Lukas Jones.
They head to more familiar surroundings this Saturday when they take on Arundel as they build-up sharpness and fitness ahead of their first game in the newly named BetVictor South East Division.
Sidlesham looked to have picked up exactly where they finished last season as they started pre-season with a thumping 4-2 win over familiar foes Bosham on Saturday before following that up on Tuesday with a 2-1 over Premier Division East Preston.
They will step up their preparations with a home game against Rustington on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Bosham will face a difficult start when the new season kicks off again having just learned their first three fixtures will all be on the road.
