Dabba will be back in the dugout next season – although it will be on the side of Chichester City rather than Bognor Regis Town.
Darn Killpartrick, the former Rocks coach, took 12 months away from the non-league game last year after more than a decade at Nyewood Lane.
After a year spending his Saturdays recharging his batteries, the England Colleges coach has agreed to link up with Bostik South East newcomers Chi as they look to establish themselves as step four.
He will link up with manager Miles Rutherford, assistant Graham Gee and coach Daniel Potter, who he works with closely at Chichester College.
Dabba will not have long before he takes on his former club as the SCFL Premier champions meet Sussex Senior Cup winners Bognor in the Sussex Community Shield at Lancing’s Culver Road on July 30.
Chi’s players returned to training last week and look to be in good shape as they head into uncharted territory.
Their pre-season preparations start tomorrow when they head to play an Isle of Wight representative XI.
Next weekend they head to Arundel before matches at Christchurch (July 16), Hamble (July 20) and AFC Portchester (July 23).
Bostik Premier side Worthing visit Oaklands Park on July 27 before preparations are completed on August 3 at Rutherford’s former side Moneyfields.
As well as changes on the pitch, Chi have also worked hard to continue to build off the pitch too.
Andy Bell has stepped up to be club chairman with Ashley Clack taking a step back to be vice chairman as the club look to continue to build the club at men’s, women’s and junior level.
Meanwhile, the club will be starting to visit local businesses to talk commercial sponsorship in the coming days.
