Chichester Canal is thrilled to announce that the canal has been awarded TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence for the fifth consecutive year.
These certificates are not earned easily as an attraction has to receive a high number of customer reviews at 4 stars and above. And because Chichester Canal has been given this coveted accolade for the fifth year in row, they will now be recorded in TripAdvisor’s Hall of Fame.
Janet Osborne from the canal’s marketing team said: “We owe a very big thank you to all of our wonderful customers who have taken the time to write lovely things about us.”
The canal received notification of being entered into TripAdvisor’s Hall of Fame during Volunteers Week in June, which was perfect timing.
Mark Stoneham, Trustee, said: “It is Chichester Canal’s 140+ plus volunteers, providing great service, who have put us where we are.
“Our volunteers give us their time looking after the canal environment, crewing boat trips and serving in the cafe, as well as lots of other activities, and they all do it with a smile. This recognition is all down to the dedication of our volunteers.”
Summer is the perfect time of year to enjoy the canal. Take a boat trip, have a quiet coffee beside the water or walk along the towpath.
The Chichester Ship Canal Trust offers daily scheduled boat trips from February till early November as well as popular charter trips and activities to get you closer to the water and to nature.
