ENERGY switching events are being staged this month by Arun and Chichester Citizens Advice.
The charity’s energy champions will be present to support residents to change suppliers, get support and save money.
Ken Porter, of Citizens Advice, said: “This year, big energy saving week is focusing on supporting consumers to switch energy suppliers, access support and make savings.”
Six sessions will be held from 10am-2pm around the area. The first will take place at Arun District Council’s offices in Littlehampton on January 21.
It will be followed on January 22 at Petworth Children and Family Centre and the next day at Grandad’s Front Room in Bognor Regis High Street.
January 25 will see a session held at The Grange in Midhurst (9.30am-2pm) before one takes place from 10am-2pm on January 30 at Witterings Medical Centre.
The final session will take place from 10am-2.30pm on February 1 at Bognor Regis Library.
“No appointment is necessary. Just drop in with your energy bill or details of how much you pay,” said Mr Porter.
As well as Citizens Advice, the Arun Wellbeing Home Service will also be hand to provide advice.
This can include advice about how to obtain energy bill savings, such as the Warm Home Discount scheme, and take energy efficiency measures around properties. They could also suggest other ways to increase a person’s income.
More details about the events are available at the Citizens Advice Bognor Regis office on 01243 866233, its office in the town hall, or by calling its advice line on 0344 477 1171.
Big energy saving week is run with the government and the Energy Saving Trust.
