Chi continue to fly! Promotion in City’s sights as run rolls on

Chichester City’s unbeaten run rolls on as the league leaders ensured they head into 2019 four points clear at the top of the table.

Miles Rutherford’s side rounded off a December to remember with a 6-1 crushing of relegation-threatened Arundel at Oaklands Park on Saturday.

Goals from Josh Clack, Kaleem Haitham, Scott Jones, Dave Herbert (2) and Terrell Lewis secured the victory after they fell behind to an early Mullets goal.

It means Chi picked up 16 points out of a possible 18 in a busy unbeaten December – which included a memorable 2-1 victory away at rivals Pagham on Boxing Day.

Rutherford will want to keep that winning feeling going for as long as possible with promotion from SCFL Premier the ultimate aim for Chi this season.

They have the perfect opportunity tomorrow when the league leaders visit struggling Loxwood (3pm).

— Chichester City are appealing for witnesses after crooks stole a Mountfield mower from Oaklands Park overnight on Saturday. Anyone with information can call police on 101.
