Music | McGoldrick, McCusker and Doyle

February 26
Emsworth Baptist Church

Following a sold-out show by Scotland’s Tannahill Weavers, it’s the turn of three individual musicians: Michael McGoldrick, John McCusker, and John Doyle to carry on the Celtic music theme as part of WemsFest in Emsworth.

WemsFest organisers are extremely proud to present this trio of talented musicians as they perform music from their first studio album, The Wishing Tree.

As individuals, McGoldrick, McCusker and Doyle have found fame as professional musicians.

Michael McGoldrick came to prominence when he was a winner of one of the first BBC Young Folk Musician Awards. Following that, his pipe playing become a centrepiece within Celtic supergroup Capercaillie, who have twice sold-out Chichester Festival Theatre.

Scotsman John McCusker first found fame as a key member of Kate Rusby’s band, and John Doyle has been one of the most in-demand rhythm guitarists in both Europe and the USA in recent years.

Now, with their combined talents the group is introducing their unique sound to venues across Europe as part of their first ever tour together. Don’t miss the chance to see this extraordinary band as they visit Emsworth for one night only.

Tickets are £17.50 and available from Bookends in Emsworth and the websites provided above.
