MERCURIAL Marco Giambelardini’s run of goals have helped fire Bosham to the top of Southern Combination League Division Two. The Robins go in to the clash with Rotingdean Village at Walton Lane tomorrow (Saturday) having scored 25 goals in their past three matches. They beat Ferring 15-1 last week and followed it up with a 5-1 win at Montpellier Villa with Giambelardini netting a hat-trick and Jake Lafferty and Louis Bell also on the scoresheet. And Giambelardini bagged a brace on Bank Holiday Monday in the 4-1 win over Clymping, with Bell scoring again and the opener from Alex Barnes. Sidelsham sit fourth in the table and host Jarvis Brook tomorrow. Goals from Thomas Bayley, Dan Bassil and Greg Robinson handed them a 3-0 home win over Lancing last Saturday and they enjoyed a 3-1 over Rustington at the Rec with Bayley at the double and Bassil scoring again, too. Selsey bid to get their season back on track with two upcoming home games following two defeats in Southern Combination League Division One. They lost 2-1 at home to Little Common on Saturday, with Cameron Corell on the scoresheet at the Bunn Leisure Stadium. Then they suffered Bank Holiday blues being edged out of a seven-goal thriller at Storrington. they can bounce back from the 4-3 loss with games against Bexhill tomorrow and Billingshurst Tuesday. Two games in and the Chichester Ladies have already scored eight goals! This time round it was Maidenhead away with Jade Widdowson scoring a volley to make it 1-0. It was 2-0 before half time when Jade Widdows got her first and after the break she made it three before Maidenhead pulled one back for 3-1. Chloe Dowdell finished the game off with Chichester’s fourth. Manager Liam Greenfield said: “This was a classy performance from the whole team.” They have won their first two league games of the season. This Sunday they face Actonians Ladies in the FAWPL League Cup at Oaklands Park KO 2pm.The reserves start their league campaign against Bexhill Ladies at Sidlesham FC, KO 2pm.
