Chichester Priory Park will be looking to keep the wins coming after registering their first victory in four last weekend.

Matthew Geffen’s side welcome mid-table Ansty to Goodwood tomorrow (12.30pm) off the back of a morale-boosting 57-run win against high-flying Haywards Heath.

After suffering two losses on the spin, Chi knew they could afford no slip-ups in what is proving to be a very competitive Sussex Division Two league.

After being put into bat, Priory struggled to get going and were quickly reduced to 15-4.

But a patient 53-run partnership between Matthew Bennison (56) and Simon Hasted steadied the ship and helped the home side to a total of 131 for 9 off their 45 overs.

It did not look enough – but then Heath did not count on Chi’s bowlers pulling out an impressive performance.

Led by Daniel Joseph (5-14 off seven overs) the Priory attack never let the visitors settle.

The opening salvo from Joseph saw Heath reduced to 21-5, something they never recovered  from  as Geffen  (1-6 off nine)  and Joe De La Fuente (1-16) never let them settle.

They ended 74 all out giving Chi an easy win.
